Third Quarter Reflection

Image
This 3 rd quarter we created a webpage using HTML Frameset. Making your own web was a challenge to me and a great experience.  So, I pursued to finish and make it beautiful. I made research for more tags in the internet. I asked my friends who knows something about this. And we survived and finished it and I am glad that I have applied what I have learned.   I've learned also that there are two types of lists in HTML: ordered and unordered. Ordered lists are created using the 'ol' tag, while unordered lists are created using the 'ul' tag. Within each list, individual list items are defined using the 'li' tag. It was also interesting to learn about the different HTML versions, and how they have evolved over time.   It is very challenging to make a web which is beautiful, awesome, and satisfying. So don't give up, stay focused, and keep working towards your dreams. Moving on I hope that our last grading would be easier and I hope we learn more ab...

Observance of the Holy Week

Image
Holy Week is the traditional observance of the Passion of Jesus Christ. It's a whole commemoration on how Jesus ended His ministry on Earth. It starts from Palm Sunday and ends on Easter Sunday. Palm Sunday Jesus entered Jerusalem. This is where He wept after seeing people rejoicing and shouting Hosanna. He wept because He knows that time is coming. He already know what He will encounter. He knows His upcoming death that is why He is very sensitive to what is happening around. Holy Monday Jesus at Bethany.  One of the known accounts here is when a sinful woman showered Jesus' feet with perfume. Cleansing of the Temple . This is where Jesus got mad because people transformed the temple into a marketplace and a gambling site. Cursing of the Fig Tree . This is when the apostle witnessed how Jesus cursed the fig tree, made it wither and never yield fruit again. Holy Tuesday This is the day when He predicts His own death in front of the apostles. Holy Wednesday ...

High School Day Celebration!

Image
Today's school year marks the 121th High School Day Celebration in Ilocos Sur National High School.   This celebration is one of the most awaited occasions in ISNHS where students celebrate the birth of the school. Full of excitements and pressure are anticipated.   Different activities are successfully done such as the parade where we start the program. Each one of us were dressed up with astonishing designs so that it'll be more beautiful and to encourage our guests and visitors. MAPEH teachers are tasked to teach their students about the steps they will be present. Students are elated to have a field practice even those who are not actively participating in the event, not having classes, just chilling and enjoying fun-filled day at school.    As a student, it is significant to celebrate our history and revisit and reconnect with the continuing journey of High School students. We are blessed with such beautiful surroundings and wonderful facilities in th...

We Can be Equaal!

The observance of International Women’s Day (IWD) was a result of the organizing activities of women in the early 20th Century. Between 1909 and 1911, working women in the United States of America participated in organizing strike activities of the National Women’s Trade Union League and other concerned groups. They were protesting against low wages, lack of protective legislation and the very poor working conditions to which women workers were subjected during that time. The demonstrations were an offshoot of the tragic March 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire in New York City, which took the lives of more than 140 working girls, mostly Italian and Jewish immigrants. Subsequently, the inhumane working conditions and other unfair labor practices leading up to the disaster were invoked during observances of IWD. In the Philippines, the Women’s Month Celebration has since served as a venue to highlight women’s achievements and discuss continuing and emerging women’s empowerm...

My Valentine's Day

Image
Valentine’s Day is a day to celebrate love. It is celebrated every year on 14th of February. It is mainly celebrated in United States of America, United Kingdom, France, Canada, Mexico, Italy, Denmark and Australia.  Valentine’s Day is mostly considered as an international festival celebrating the feeling of love. More than just being a day for the lovers, the day holds bigger importance. It is a day to show and express our love to anyone. When we love our parents, we fail to express it sometime. So, the day is a chance to express our love for our parents, for our family members, and for our friends and closed ones.  I spend my Valentine’s Day by sharing and giving love to those who are special to me. I tell them how you feel and make them feel special through simple actions such as giving them chocolates, flowers, poems, love notes or a simple hug and 'I love you' will do. And I give my mother a flower or a valentine's card. As simple as that, it shows your love and care ...
